Lavender Lemonade
Try Lavender Lemonade to add a unique spin to an old favorite.
Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
• 1 cup lemon juice - freshly squeezed (about 5 lemons)
• 1 cup sugar
• 5 cups water
Combine 2.5 cups of water and the sugar in a medium sauce pan and bring it to a boil.
Stir the mixture to ensure that all of the sugar is dissolved.
Stir the lavender buds into the sugar water and remove from heat.
Cover the pan and allow to steep for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Strain the lemon juice into a non-metal pitcher.
Strain the lavender sugar water into the pitcher and discard the lavender buds.
Add another 2.5 cups of water.
Stir and serve over ice or refrigerate.
Makes about 6 cups
